Freddie’s Ataxia Fund Launch Event

  • Harris Academy Perth Road Dundee, Scotland United Kingdom (map)

Formally launching the charity Freddie’s Ataxia Fund with friends, family and supporters.

Join us to at the launch of this brand new charity, Freddie’s Ataxia Fund at Harris Academy, Perth Road, Dundee.

Enjoy a short presentation from our trustees, followed by a first-hand account of life with FA  from the inspiration behind the fund, 16-year-old Eilidh Kiddie. Friedreich's Ataxia is a rare condition, and for most people, it is an unknown disease. Navigating the progression of symptoms impacts the person and those around them. Eilidh will take you through her journey from her early years to diagnosis and beyond. She will also talk about how she sees this fund helping others.

FAF aims to help alleviate some of the financial strain by providing grants for equipment or treatments for those with the condition.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Launch Event!

Please find some information about the evening here.

At the Event

The event will be informative and fun-filled for all the family. Table games, quiz rounds, entertainment, raffle, tombola, photo booth, and more.

We know that many of us prefer card payment so we have arranged tokens that can be purchased with card (or cash) on the night. Each token has a value of £1 and can be used for any of the games, stalls or raffles. Each stall will have a limited float so if you prefer to use cash, please bring your £1 coins!

To reduce queues at the event, you can pre-purchase your £1 tokens in advance, please email Lynne Falconer at finance@freddiesataxiafund.co.uk to request a payment link and state how many you would like. These will be ready for you to collect when you arrive.

There will be a tuck shop selling soft drinks, crisps, and sweetie cones on the night.

We have some fabulous prizes for our raffle and silent auction that you will want the chance to take home at the end of the night.  Please keep an eye out for these on our Facebook page or Instagram as we will open the bidding this week.

Thanks again for your support!
